  1. Take the stairs. You’ve got two legs, so use them at every opportunity.
  2. Walk it off. Get on those cross-trainers and walk for a half-hour a day to boost your energy levels.
  3. Plan a picnic at a local park. Pack lots of healthy snacks, bring your in-line skates and grab your friends for an active, fun day.
  4. Join your school’s basketball, volleyball or cheerleading team. You’ll meet new friends and stay fit.
  5. Instead of pop, drink a glass of water with lemon in it. It’s important to stay hydrated, especially when exercising.
  6. Addicted to TV? Do jumping jacks between commercials.
  7. Not into sports? Join your local YMCA and look into swimming or dancing lessons.
  8. Bring out the garbage, mow the lawn or clean your room.
  9. Feeling stressed? Going for a quick jog will help you clear your mind.
  10. Make a fitness plan. Don’t get discouraged if you miss a day of exercise. Start with smaller fitness goals and work toward larger ones.
